This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) pertains to the utilisation of the entire Patient Watch Ltd Platform across the product suite used in Patient Watch Web, Patient Watch Desktop, and the patient-watch.com website (the “Platform”). It also applies when contacting Patient Watch Ltd’s User Support Team throughsupport@patientwatch.com, or complaints@patientwatch.com and any other services Patient Watch Ltd may offer. This AUP may be updated periodically.

To maintain the safe, secure, and uninterrupted functioning of our products and services, users are required to agree not to misuse our Platform. Please adhere to this AUP by agreeing:

  • Not to use profanities, expletives, or send abusive messages while using our Platform or the Services.
  • Not to use the Platform for communications in an emergency.
  • Not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or prohibited by this AUP.
  • Not to use the Platform for any act of fraud, publishing falsehoods, misrepresentations, or misleading statements.
  • Not to use the Platform for unsolicited advertising, spam, or any form of promotion.
  • Not to simulate communications from Patient Watch Ltd or another service to collect identity information or impersonate someone.
  • Not to gain unauthorized access to computers, data, systems, accounts, or networks.
  • (In jurisdictions covered by NHS England guidance/obligations) To abide by the NHS England End User Organisation Acceptable Use Policy for the use of NHS England Services that transact Personal Data.
  • Not to distribute unlawful, harmful, infringing, offensive, discriminatory, or sexually explicit material while using the Platform.
  • (If necessary) To inform the organisation using the Platform and follow internal protocols or procedures set by that organisation.
  • To check and use the Platform regularly to ensure no communications or actions are missed and to ensure continuation of care.
  • To use the Platform only professionally for the provision of direct care to patients.
  • To safeguard access to your devices used to access the Platform.
  • To configure your device and internet connection correctly and use your virus protection software.
  • To maintain a secure and confidential password for your use of the Platform.
  • Not to share your unique login credentials.
  • To use an NHS-approved domain name for your login email address.
  • To inform us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account on the Platform.
  • To be responsible for all actions in your account on the Platform.
  • To ensure your account details are up to date.
  • To provide accurate and complete information and be responsible for all data you provide directly or indirectly via the Platform.
  • Not to infringe, misappropriate, or violate our or any third party’s intellectual property or other rights.
  • Not to use the Platform for commercial or financial gain.
  • Not to use the Platform in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or compromise our systems or interfere with other users.
  • Not to attempt to copy, modify, duplicate, create derivative works from, or otherwise change the whole or any part of the Platform or attempt to decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the Platform.
  • Not to attempt to access the Platform to build a product that competes with the Platform.

We own or are the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Platform. All such rights are reserved.

To identify breaches, we monitor the use and content of messages sent on the Platform. We may also monitor usage rates and check whether messages have been read and/or actioned. In the event of a message not being read or actioned promptly, we may contact the user to confirm continued access to the Platform.

Without affecting other remedies available, we may terminate or suspend a user’s account or access to the Platform and our services on notice if Patient Watch Ltd determines a violation of this AUP. We are entitled to report contraventions of this AUP to the Licensee and/or any organisation by which you are employed or through whom you have gained access to the Platform.

The Patient Watch Website

The patient-watch.com website allows users to access certain information, resources, and services provided by Patient Watch Ltd. Users are responsible for the legality, reliability, and appropriateness of the information they access.

We do not supervise or moderate any content on the patient-watch.com website and have no liability or responsibility for it. We reserve the right to remove or correct any content on the website.

Users must respect the confidentiality of others and use the website only for professional and lawful purposes. Patient Watch Ltd retains all intellectual property rights in the content on the patient-watch.com website.

The website is not to be used for communications in an emergency. Patient-specific communications should be conducted through appropriate channels, and users should not rely on the website for emergency communication.

The patient-watch.com website may include links to third-party websites. Patient Watch Ltd is not responsible for the content on these third-party sites and does not endorse or approve of their content.

By using the patient-watch.com website, users agree to abide by this AUP and refrain from any activity that violates the rights of Patient Watch Ltd or any third party. Violations may result in the termination or suspension of user access to the website and its services.
